The Human Story Told Through Irises
Find answers to key questions about the Eyes of Britain project and its unique iris portraits.
How do I register my interest in participating in the project?
I can only consider people for inclusion in the project if they have, or intend to, attend one of my iris photography pop-ups, events or home visits.
If you would like to apply for consideration for participation in the project please complete the relevant application form below
Please note that these forms are hosted and submitted on my main website, eltoncilliers.com
How long will the project run for?
This is a difficult one for me to answer with any certainty.
I need 1,000 people to express interest in the project. Also, not all that apply will be shortlisted for inclusion.
Therefore, this project may be ongoing for several years.
Do I have to provide a story or video interview?
Not at all. If you are interested in participating, you can simply provide permission for your image to be used. You even get to decide whether your actual first name is published with your image or if you prefer an alias.
Those interested in providing either a written story or video interview will be given preference as the overall aim of the project isn’t just to showcase 1,000 eye images, but also the accompanying stories that made us uniquely British.
Do I get paid for taking part?
No. No payment is made for your inclusion in the project. You are applying to be included in a photography project and artwork.
Can I withdraw consent in the future?
Once your image and possibly story or video interview has been published, it is not possible to withdraw consent. There will be printed outputs of the project also which of course, once printed cannot be retracted.
